The beginnings of water polo in Wisła date back to 1937 when our club was reinforced by outstanding YMCA swimmers, contributing to the strength of TS Wisła's swimming section until the outbreak of World War II.

Of course, at that time, there was no talk of establishing a separate water polo section. Nevertheless, our swimmers, including the star of Krakow (and beyond) pools - Włodek, also competed incidentally in this sport discipline during swimming competitions.

Water polo was seriously taken up by TS Wisła only after the war, and the greatest success of our water polo players was their appearances in the first league in the early 1950s.
